Silver Lake

Silver Lake (Serbian: Srebrno jezero) is a lake made artificially by partitioning off two dams. It is located on the Danube River, in close proximity of Veliko Gradište, about 100 km from Belgrade. When the sun begins to set, the Lake’s reflection turns silver, hence its name.

For decades, Silver Lakehas been an alluring destination for rest and fishing, but lately it has become a very popular destination for tourists from all of Serbia. Since 2000, Silver Lake has hosted the country’s water skiing championship.
